Scott J. Tucker

Scott is a 1975 graduate of Tufts University and a 1978 graduate of Boston College Law School where he was an editor of the law review. 

Scott represents parties in all areas of civil litigation with a concentration in personal injury cases involving products liability, premises liability, construction liability, transportation liability, medical and nursing home liability, clergy malpractice, and construction defect and fire loss and other property claims.  He has tried more than 100 cases to verdict including those involving wrongful death and catastrophic injuries, contract terminations and patent infringement.

He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, International Association of Defense Counsel, DRI, Trucking Industry Defense Association, the American Board of Trial Advocates and the International Society of Barristers.  Scott is a member and Past-President of the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association and in 2010 was named the MDLA Lawyer of the Year.

Scott served as a faculty member for the IADC’s Defense Counsel Trial Academy in 1995, and was the Director of the Trial Academy in 2003.  He served on the Board of Directors of the IADC Foundation from 2009 to 2014 and as the Foundation’s President from 2011 to 2013.

Scott has lectured and taught programs sponsored by the IADC, DRI, Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys, Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education Foundation and the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association in the areas of evidence, torts and trial advocacy.  He delivered the annual review to the 2011 DRI Nursing Home/ALF Seminar.

Scott currently serves as the President of the Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease Foundation.
